Description: This rare 1900s "Yale" hinged litho tobacco tin, measuring 2 5/8" x 5 7/8" x 1 3/4", is in good condition with no rust, some small dents and some age related paint chips and scratches. The hinge is in excellent working order. This very attractive green and gold tin was made by the Ginna Lithographers & Company, New York, NY. Its lid features elaborative graphics advertising the Yale Mixture brand which was composed of Turkish tobacco. On side of the tin has an image of a Yale student in a cap and gown while another while another shows a water pipe. The tobacco was manufactured by the Marburg Brothers, Baltimore, MD in Factory 2, District of MD.
