Description: Rare 1 1/2" Hand-Painted Bilston & Battersea Betsey Ross House Enamel on Copper Trinket Box in its original velvet-lined presentation box with paperwork. Made in Bilston, Stafforshire, England by Halcyon Days in 1976 as a special commission to commemorate the Bicentennial of the United States. Has a royal seal on the box and Biltson & Battersea back stamp. The lid has a beautifully detailed image of the Betsy Ross house and enamel red sides and bottom. See pictures. Inside reads:"Betsy Ross House, Philadelphia PA., Birthplace of Old Glory. Here, in 1776, Betsy Ross was commissioned to make the first American Flag". The paperwork details its creation and bears the royal seal of Queen Elizabeth II. This one has to be seen. The pictures do not depict the beauty of it.
