Description: Up for sale is a copy of a book titled, "RAPHAEL'S CARTOONS" Engraved on Steel by G. Greatbach, From The Originals At The South Kensington Museum. With a biography and Portrait Of Raphael, Painted by Himself and Fac-simile of Autograph. Published by Raphael Tuck & Sons, London, Paris, New York. No date listed - Circa 1890. NOTE: Includes 7 engravings and the portrait of Raphael. It is missing 1 engraving - the engraving that may accompany "Life of Raphael". Overall, the book is in Good/Good+ Condition. The boards have wear, browning, discoloration and nicks along the edges. The corners are bumped and fraying. The front board is loose at the bottom. The spine is discolored and cracked and torn in several places, as well as scuffed at the top and the bottom. and the seem is splitting and you can see the internal webbing from the front end pages. Many of the pages are loose. There is wear and browning to the pages. There are nicks and chips along the edges. However, the engravings are very nice and would look great framed!
