Description: Ram's Head Northwind Face Cream Pitcher Gorham Sterling Silver 1869 American sterling silver figural cream pitcher by Gorham Silversmiths, date marked for 1869. This ornate pitcher features a Northwind Face spout, a floral repousse body surrounding reserves containing ornate, period monograms EBU and JML. Opposite the spout and behind the C-shaped handle is a nicely detailed ram's head with a ring in his nose. This scarce and desirable cream pitcher is 5 1/4" tall, 3" in diameter, 4 3/8" across the handle and weighs 191 grams or 6.1 ozs. Troy. The soft, warm, original antique finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
