Description: RALPH FASANELLA (1914-1997) hand signed color print by important American folk artist: the print dating to 1980, after the very large original painting of 1977 (which was roughly four by eight FEET) titled "The Lawrence Bread and Roses Strike 1912", hand signed and inscribed to a "Barbara Nelson" at lower right by the well-known American folk artist Ralph Fasanella. Fasanella was a well-known artist in the final decades of the century, producing detailed, lyrical imagery of urban areas like New York City, with an eye towards a socially relevant message. This image deals with the famous, landmark labor strike in Lawrence, Massachusetts textile mill town in the year 1912. Fasanella signed in thin ballpoint pen at lower left and dedicated it to an admirer. The artist's original works have gone into five figures at folk art auctions. This print is clean; glass is cracked at lower right corner and will be discarded for safer shipping. Measurements are 20 1/2" by 35" as presently framed.
