Description: RAF Museum History of Aviation BLANCHARD & JEFFRIES Sterling Silver Medal Scarce This is from the collection of sterling silver medals commemorating key events in aviation history. The medal is 40.7g of .925 silver, so about 1.2 oz of silver all told, and is in a capsule. This one marks the First Crossing of Sea by Air 1785. Pictures are of the actual item you will receive. I am not an expert. I have tried to describe the coin(s) as accurately as possible using Numista and other coin catalogues but please use the pictures to confirm details. Pictures are guaranteed - description is not! Please check out my other items as I've just listed the bulk of my silver collection, just as silver seems to be on the verge of shooting up, but isn't it always... and needs must. With most items I've endeavoured to open the capsule where easy and appropriate to do so, so as to clearly photograph the coin. However some capsules, like those from Perth Mint aren't so easy to open, so I've just left them in the capsule so as not to risk damage. I've been careful to store these well and keep them in the condition I received them in so most of the capsules are in great condition, but very few of them have slight marking, one or two have a small crack, please note you are bidding for the coin, consider the capsule a free gift. The capsule will likely be fine but I don't want complaints about blemished capsules. Items will be sent UK free of charge. Outside of UK these will be sent using the Global Shipping Programme. All items guaranteed genuine. Good luck and thank you for browsing!
