It is called Sam Goody's presents Ralph Emery Every day from Nashville, Ralph hosted the show. Each show is about five minutes in length and was meant to be used during the broadcast day at the station's convenience.Each week one artist was featured and interviewed by Ralph.The daily mini show contained one commercial with the remaining time devoted to the interview subject for the day. Each day's interview topic was noted on the cue sheet for easy reference. Each lp contained two weeks of daily spots, a total of ten separate shows, five from each featured artist. THESE ARE NO CANNED INTERVIEWS THAT YOU HEAR - ITS RALPH AND HIS GUEST INTERACTING TOGETHER IN THE STUDIO. Ralph Emery, as you know, is one of the greatest legends of country music broadcasting and his shows on WSM are legendary. These shows show up rarely on ebay and I am offering my last few shows over the next few days. After that they are gone and that's it! If you are a fan of either of the artists profiled, or both, you are going to want this unique presentation. The show comes on one stereo lp in great condition (I'd say an M -) played only on the date of network broadcast, and comes with its cue sheets. The important thing, THESE RECORDS ARE IN PRISTINE SHAPE. They have been stored very well and look like the day they were pressed. You can't do better. THIS SHOW AIRED ON THE WEEKS OF MAY 30, AND JUNE 6, 1988 AND FEATURED RANDY TRAVIS AND SAWYER BROWNTHE INTERVIEW TOPICS CAN BE SEEN ON THE ATTACHED CUE SHEET. Remember, when you buy this show, not only will you own the tunes but also interspersed between songs is fascinating commentary on the artists and songs. Also, keep in mind that this and all radio shows are not just about the music - the music can be found anywhere. It is the mixture of great music and great announcing that makes it so entertaining. As well, it is a VITAL piece of radio history and Americana. You just aren't going to find these syndicated radio shows anymore. Most people don't even know they exist! AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, THERE ARE ONLY A HANDFUL LEFT. LITERALLY ONLY A HANDFUL. THERE IS NO INFORMATION AS TO HOW MANY WERE PRESSED ORIGINALLY. IT DEPENDS ON HOW MANY STATIONS WERE AIRING THE SHOW, PERHAPS 100? JUST THINK, YOU COULD OWN ONE OF A SERIES OF SHOWS THAT ONLY TOTALED 100 OR A FEW MORE AT ITS PEAK. Some people buy the shows for the commercials they collect! Either way, it is a great show and would be a valuable addition to your collection.
