The dominant color is a very vibrant blue, The fabric appears to have purple highlights even though there are no purple threads in this :). This color is achieved by combining a thick blue weft interwoven with a thin red warp. These two colors mix to create an iridescent color changing appearance that can bounce between purple, indigo and red. Dupioni fabric is a plain-woven fabric. Using a fine yard on the warp and an uneven yarn on the weft. This creates visual and textural raised thin stripes in the fabric.
