The leads are easily straightened to be used as other configurations. This is a non-isolated, high efficiency switching convertor. Pin 1 is Vin 9-28VDC, Pin 2 is ground and Pin 3 is output 5.0 Vdc @ 3.0A(Max, 2.0 A is nominal). These have an over temperature shutdown and a current limit shutdown. Current limit ~ 4.0 amps.
