Description: PSS 03-114-200 PRO Shaft Seal 1-1/4"" & 2"" Tube with Silicone Bellows The PSS PRO Shaft Seal is a specialized mechanical face seal designed for applications that require increased durability and resistance to harsh corrosive high-pressure and demanding environments. It utilizes stainless steel and carbon sealing components reinforced silicone bellows a secondary shaft retention collar 316 Stainless Steel hose clamps and an optional Nitronic 50 rotor upgrade for highly corrosive environments. With unmatched performance the PRO Shaft Seal is suitable for various applications. As with PSS Type A & B Seals the PRO Shaft Seal is a mechanical face seal that creates a sealing surface between the rotating stainless steel rotor and stationary carbon flange. The heavy-duty silicone bellows are attached to the vessel's stern tube (shaft log) with 316SS hose clamps allowing for constant contact between the rotor and flange to compensate for axial movement due to propeller thrust. The carbon flange can float around the shaft compensating for misalignment and vibration. The stainless steel rotor is sealed to the shaft with O-rings that rotate with the shaft eliminating wear during operation.
