The larger version has a raised section of black enamel with gold letters and clasped hands.That is set upon a wide convex border of slightly speckled gold.The back has a T-bar hinged pin that slips into a C-clasp with a lifting lock. The pearled version is just as awesome.Silvery pearls adorn the border of the raised black enameled section.The very outer border is of a pebbled rope design.This one has a pin that slips into center C-type clasp with a whale-tail spinner lock.I believe this version was his second pin, probably 2 or 3 years after his first. Probably got this one for when he graduated. Both have identical engraving which looks like artwork.Xi in starburst. (Chapter indicating Wesleyan)E.H. Westlake in a curved banner. (Emory Holland Westlake)Secret code. (Indicates 1897) Both easily tested as 14K gold.Larger is 15/16" x 9/16".
