Description: A provincial Scottish sterling silver dessert fork in the Kings Pattern, made in Dundee between 1820-1840 by Alexander Cameron. This for measures approximately 170mm from the end of the tines to the tip of the handle and 22mm across the widest part of the head. It weighs 40.2 grams. The terminal of the handle bears the monogram 'Probitate' (honesty) and balances. This is a fork in very good condition, fully intact and clean with just minimal surface scuffing consistent with age and use. The hallmarks are clear.
