The cross grain may be different from the one shown, but I try to match them as close as possible.They are about 8 inches long from the top to the bottom of the cross. There is no right or wrong way to use prayer beads; you can just touch the beads as you pray. If you want to use my method, I include a copy with your purchase. If you are a mom or dad, lead you children to prayer by example. These are pretty just laying around. I lay my beads on a table near where I pray; just seeing them lie there is an awesome reminder.
