Sansui 3900Z Stereo Receiver Fully Serviced, Upgraded and Modified

Description: Vintage Sansui 3900Z, 40W AM/FM Stereo Receiver Professionally Serviced, modified and upgraded. This receiver sounds awesome. It's well balanced not seeming bright or warm but accurate and musical. A really great vintage receiver with upgrades and modifications adding some modern touches and improvements. This Restoration Includes:1. A full examination and repair of any issues. Bad or suspicious solder connections were touched up.2. The amplifier outputs and drivers were replaced with improved higher current versions. 2B, The problematic on/off and speaker control switch has been upgrade/replaced with a time delay DC protection relay.2C. The Op Amp in the preamp has been upgraded to a socketed 5532. 3. All audio electrolytic capacitors in the amplifier section have been replaced with Nichicon gold and Muse types. 3B. All mains and other power capacitors have been tested with a Sencore LC103 and verified for proper operation.4. All Switches & Controls have been cleaned and lubricated. 4B.The RCA and other connectors have been cleaned to ensure proper connectivity.5. If applicable the FM IF & MPX Circuit Alignment was tested. 6. All incandescent lamps were replaced with modern LED versions.7. Power amplifier Idle current & DC bias/offset voltages were tested and set to specifications.8. All knobs were cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner.9. A full function and safety check was done.
