Battery life is approximately 1,000 hours with a brightness setting of “3” (medium level). The included sunscreen can be screwed into the threaded section of the front of the sight to reduce lens flashes when the sun is in front of its position. It has a pre-installed raised mount, but it is possible to remove the divider if you prefer to mount it directly in a rail. The illuminated sight reticle comes factory focused so that the sight always appears in focus on the lens. By comparison, open sights force you to focus on the rear, front, and lens view at the same time and focus on the target.
