Back of card, owner has lightly pencilled "4/13/1993" as date autograph was obtained. This item was personally obtained upon meeting Ford at an Atlanta Sports Card convention in 1993. Unquestionably authentic. Edward Charles "Whitey" Ford, nicknamed "the Chairman of the Board", was an American professional baseball pitcher who played his entire 16-year Major League Baseball career with the New York Yankees. He was a 10-time All-Star and six-time World Series Champion. Whitey Ford died on 10/8/2020 at the age of 91. A magnificent signature example of this legendary Yankee pitcher....one of baseball's greatest!
