Description: Natural Gourd Portable Water Sake Container Vessel Primitive Boho Tribal Antique Vintage 15" x 7" African Japanese Mexican Samurai Portable Jug Bottle Condition:This is a preowned, vintage calabash gourd water vessel. I am uncertain of the ethnicity of this gourd but it could be African, Japanese, or Mexican perhaps. It is a natural, dried gourd with a very old, perhaps even antique, rope attached. The patina on the gourd itself is gorgeous and varied. The hand-whittled plug does appear to be new. The cord attaching it is new and the wood is also new. I assume this was used as a water or liquid vessel of some kind. It would make an amazing decor piece in a primitive, tribal, or boho decor style. It is quite large measuring 15" tall and 7" wide in diameter at the widest point. It is in excellent, aged condition. It shows normal use and wear consistent with age. There do not appear to be any holes in the gourd but I have not tested it to find out if it is leakproof. Please see photos for specifics on the condition of this amazing antique (?) gourd.
