Description: PAPA NOEL is what the Louisiana Cajuns call this Santa. He’s sitting with a bag of toys in his lap. He has a bouffant sleeve shirt atop pants from an antique crazy quilt, Circa 1890, his hat is from the same quilt. He has gold rim glasses and black beaded eyes, a big nose and a bell on his hat. Laying down or on a doll stand he measures 23”tall. He was originally made by Sharon Roland in 1993. I bought it from her at a craft show in Marietta, Georgia. After 30 years he looked at little tired, so I redid him a little bit. I put a new beard on him, restuffed his sleeves a little and added some toys to his bag. It’s got a Christmas tree, tiny bear, toy elephant, a Madam Alexander doll, a angel and a red and white candy cane I’ve loved him a long time. I’m 81 and having to downsize my wonderful collections. Thanks for looking.
