Puck was the first successful humor magazine in the United States consisting of political satire expressed in colorful cartoons and caricatures that focused on the major, mostly political, issues of the day. It was published from 1871 until 1918. Puck was quite popular in its day, and is very popular among political cartoon collectors today.
