Description: Still in original box and stamped Pleasant Company on the back of her neck, pre-Mattel Samantha looks like she was rarely played with. She has squeezable vinyl and gorgeous soft silky long hair that has maintained its original curl. It appears that something may have been pressing on Samantha's eyes over the years possibly during storage. One set of eyelashes are pushed over...they all appear to be intact, but please check photos. Looks like they could be pulled back and they would be fine, but I don't feel I'm the one to try that! Eyes function normally, she holds a pose, and is clean with no odors. Samantha is wearing her meet outfit - dress (tagged "Made in Germany for Pleasant Company 1986"), matching hair ribbon, bloomers, black ribbed tights, and Mary Jane shoes. She also comes with gold heart locket pin with pics of her mother and father, and the "Meet Samantha" book. Her other accessories include the maroon bonnet with flowing ribbons, pink purse, hankie, and coin. Some sweet person (grandma???) made a towel and washcloth set personalized with "Samantha" tied together with a mauve ribbon. The white box has iridescent images of Samantha on the top...and has lots of shelf wear - tape and glue damage. Letters "SDP" on the sticker.
