Description: Here for the American Girl Doll collector is GORGEOUS JOSEFINA, Pre-Mattel American Girl Doll--in very good gently cared for condition. She comes in her classic meet outfit, tagged Pleasant Company 1997 (white blouse, skirt, brown sash, pantaloons and leather moccasins). No box, sorry. She has the lettering Pleasant Company on the back of her neck. Torso is very clean. She has a small mark on her arm (see close-up photo). It can probably be removed with the proper cleanser. I see no other obvious flaws. Limbs are tight; she holds a pose and stands easily on her own. Glossy black hair appears to be in original braid; however, I note flyaway hairs. Soft brown eyelashes (not stiff and black as later Josefina dolls) frame beautiful dark brown eyes. Facial coloring is very pretty. Her meet outfit is in very good condition. I did not remove her leather moccasins because the shoelaces are very frayed from aging. A gorgeous and classic Josefina! From my smoke-free home.
