Description: This bowl was obtained from the estate of a missionary couple who had spent considerable time in both Central America, Indian reservations in Southwestern US and Africa. Unfortunately, though it was with several other antiquities, it had no label or identification. It has similarities to pottery of the Nicoya of Costa Rica, but also resembles pieces from the Mississippian Caddo culture of North America. It also bears resemblance to some artifacts out of Africa. In either case the patina on this pot shows considerable age. Being sold as unidentified. Measuring about 6 inches wide and 4.75 inches tall. Bowl has chipped lip, some scrapes and stains expected with extreme age. Please review the photos as they are part of the description and show the actual item you will receive.
