Description: Non dug gilted brass Massachusetts 1st Regiment Volunteer Militia coat button. This button is listed in Albert's as MS 41. The front has great gold and detail. The front has a hunting horn with a number 1 inside it, with Old English initials M V M above. The reverse has a c.1855, small depressed, R & W. ROBINSON * EXTRA RICH * backmark. The shank is straight. This button measures 23 mm in diameter. It is a great button. The pictures are accurate as to its condition. Please look at my other auctions.
