Description: MOVING MUST SELL!!! Monumental Postmodern Space Age Lucite, Black Lacquer and Brass Chandelier in the Art Deco Hollywood Regency style. Condition is overall excellent with some cracks to the lucite which are not visible when the fixture is hung. Although the lamp is structurally sound, we would suggest having it rewired due to its age, but will leave that decision up to you. We have not tested it. The 1/2” thick lucite “disc” measures 24” across and the fixture measures 20” tall. It illuminates from a bulb hidden in the glass cylinder, accessible from the underside of the fixture. The lacquer is in excellent condition. The brass screws have minor tarnish. It has an attached period brass swag chain and escutcheon. The chain measures approximately 38”. A spectacular and unusual chandelier, this will be a focal point in your home. I could see this in a vintage home decorated by Dorothy Draper, Billy Haines or Paul Williams. Please see ALL photos. Please note: when properly wrapped and boxed, the package weighs nearly 50 lbs.
