The view shows the old chapel (since demolished) at Camp Roberts, an army training center near San Miguel on California's central coast. The card was mailed in 1942 by Pvt. Hector H. Lindquist (of Oregon) while undergoing training sessions at the Camp. There is also a reference to the camp's chaplain, Alfred B. Minyard, along with a stamp at bottom with the chaplain's information. According to the Veterans Legacy Memorial website, Hector Lindquist (1911-1961) had the U.S. Army Transportation Corps rank of "Tec 5" (technician, fifth grade) during his service. Condition: The condition of this postcard is normal with age and storage. There might be some yellowing/tanning, creases and edge dents, edge/corner wear and other wear, and writing on the front / back.
