Description: FROM MADEIRA WITH LOVE....! Found in an estate liquidation on the island of Madeira in Portugal, that of a retired antiques dealer. Large vintage cachepot from Portugal, classic Portuguese folk pottery from the Coimbra region. Hand painted in the unique style of that region, it has a full round hunting scene. The octagonal pot stands 5 1/2 inches tall and measures 7 inches across. It has survived in good previously used condition free of chips or cracks, no residue from prior use. All looks to be in good vintage condition, no chips or cracks. Some fine crazing in the glaze was detected, mostly on the interior. A few kiln flaws like glaze misses and pock marks, all born in the making, were also found. I inserted a standard size playing card in one photo as a reference for size. The pot is weighty and will require careful double box packing. MUCH OBLIGED
