Description: A colorful porcelain on metal advertising sign for Eisenlohr’s Cinco Cigars, from Otto Eisenlohr & Bros, Philadelphia, PA, probably dating to the 1930’s, with edge grommet holes. The sign is very cool - I’ve hung it in my living room and home bar- it’s an incredible piece of American History and a must have for any collector. The sign is 3 feet long and 1 feet tall The “Stinko” One of the best selling 5 cent cigars in America was made in Bucks County. It was the Cinco, produced by the Eisenlohr Factory in Perkasie. Although a lot of ‘wags’ referred to the Cinco as the “Stinko,” it was popular among smokers. It is said that after smoking a Cinco cigar, Vice President Tom Marshall made his famous remark, “What this country needs is a good five cent cigar.” This sign has been repaired at some point, please view all photos for details.
