Description: This fern with the soft bluish fronds is Polypodium (Phlebodium) aureum is often called 'rabbit's foot fern' or a variety of other names. It has thick, fuzzy brown rhizomes that creep across a basket, mount, or pot. Fronds are up to 2 feet long at least when mature, but these are still young and compact. Size of rhizome and fronds come with age. These make a really awesome display in a vanda basket or similar, because it gives their rhizomes plenty of space to creep along and over the sides. They can also be grown mounted or in pots. I find they are happiest in low to medium light. Pot them as for anthuriums or damp growing orchids for best results - its easier to maintain good roots that way. These plants were grown by me, from spore. You will get one of the plants shown or one similar in size (in your choice of pot size). All plants are wrapped carefully and shipped via USPS priority mail. Plant may be shipped bare root at my discretion. Safe arrival of buds and flowers not guaranteed. Sorry, we are not currently accepting orders from, or shipping to Hawaii or Alaska.
