Pleasant Company HTF RARE Girl of Today #20 in Mix and Match Meet Outfit

Description: This is #20 of the Girl of Today/Just Like You line of Pleasant Company dolls. She is RARE. In 1995, Pleasant Company released in their Holiday catalog this new line of non-historic dolls. There were 20 to choose from. There were 3 face molds, 3 skin tones, 5 eye colors, and 6 hair colors/textures. This doll has the classic face mold, fair skin, blonde hair and grey eyes. Initially the catalog called the grey eyes hazel, but they were the same grey eyes used for Molly. There were only 3 dolls that came with these grey eyes, this blonde and a light brown hair doll #9 and a dark brown hair doll 19.1. In 1999, the dark brown hair/grey eye doll was revised to light brown hair and green eyes leaving just #9 and #20 with the grey eyes. The #9 is a twin to the Molly doll but doesn't have short hairs to cover a part for braids. This number 20 was sold for less than 10 years. She was not a high seller and so there are very few on the second hand market. Plus the grey eyes were prone to getting silver eyes and rather than send them back to AG hospital they were discarded. All of the 1995 and 1996 Pleasant Company dolls have very nude face paint. Even the historic dolls are like that. In 1997 the paint gets brighter. This particular doll was owned and played with by a child. She cut the neck strings. She came wearing a Felicity gown. The meet outfit was folded and inside a baggie in the box. The note said the outfit was only worn when it was shipped. I have included an extra hat I have, but it is missing the ribbon. She is wearing the magenta underwear, tee shirt, leggings, big white shirt and flat shoes. All the outfits have 1995 tags. She came in the box but it is not perfect and is missing the band. I don't consider it adding any value to the doll, but it does keep her clean and she will ship in it.
