Item Details: One-off "Ashcan Edition", self-published in 1998. 4 1/2" x 6 1/2", 14 black and white pages. Very limited number printed (I believe less than 50, but not positive.) Includes NM yellow Platypus Press subscription card. Additional Info: PLATYPUS REX introduced the world's first and only foremost vampire-hunting platypus of independent comics. Created and published by Mark Brill (Magic: The Gathering MTG) and Quentin Shaw in 1998 under the short-lived imprint Platypus Press, this limited mini-series is currently under revisions to be published and released again by QEW Publishing. Mark Brill has done card art for Magic: The Gathering, Harry Potter and Hecatomb for Wizards of the Coast. He has done some work on "furry" comics, including Rocketship Rodents, Professor Chronofur, and Platypus Rex. He was the artist on The Power Within and The Mark of Aeacus with writer Charles "Zan" Christensen.
