Our Hat Shapers were designed specifically for crafters as inexpensive resists for wet felting of carded wool. They are 90 mil ABS plastic, thermoformed over hand carved molds in non-standard sizes. As you might expect, Hat Shapers will not take the extreme heat of Milliners Ovens. Unfortunately, Hat Shapers were not designed for use with pre-formed hoods or capelines. They don't take pins and they don't generally have tie-down grooves. They also have flange-like brim bases, so "pulling" is more difficult without modifications. Nevertheless, many professional milliners have found uses for Hat Shapers, generally for non precision costuming.
