Description: Rare Slip Opinion from the Supreme Court of the United States in the landmark 1992 case: Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Et Al. v. Casey, Governor of Pennsylvania, Et Al. At issue were five provisions ot that state's abortion control act of 1982 and the Court ruled that restrictions on abortion are unconstitutional if they place an 'undue burden' on a woman seeking an abortion before the fetus is viable. The case was argued April 22, 1992 and the opinion was released June 29, 1992. It is one of the longest Court opinions totaling 168 pages. Condition: This is a perishable copy of an historically important case; perishable because only a limited number of copies were printed by the Court since the full text of the opinion is printed later in the US Reports, the official bound version of Court cases. This scarce copy has been sitting in a legal file. Copy is clean, with minor rubbings or marks, discoloration of the paper is starting to show. Fresh to market and a superb additiond to your collection.
