Description: You are looking at pieces of pipestone otherwise known as Catlinite. You will receive the entire exact lot shown in the photos. This lot is 100 percent Pipestone/Catlinite This red pipestone was quarried by hand from the sacred quarries located at Pipestone National Monument. Pipestone / Catlinite is used to make Native American peace pipes and many other crafts. Since the stone is so hard to come by it is ideal to have almost no waste these are small pieces that are left over from the making of a pipe. All but one of these pieces are large enough to make a small personal pipe out of. This lot is also perfect for someone who can or wants to make small crafts. Arrow heads, pipe tampers beads or anything they can envision with in the stone. They can even be ground down and the dust collected for painting. The pieces could also be placed inside a medicine bag and worn, or placed on an alter. They are also cool unique stones to have in any rock collection. I am a 5th generation Pipe maker, a lineal descendant of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Tribe although not enrolled myself. I’m happy to send any additional photos or answer any questions. I do have several listings at this time and will also take personal orders done through eBay. Thanks for looking!
