Description: This listing is for a Pioneer SA-606 Integrated Amplifier and matching Pioneer TX-606 AM/FM Stereo Tuner in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. These two units are identical in size and it is advisable if stacked that the amp be on top the tuner instead of the other way around to allow ventilation for the amp (it’s top cover is vented for that purpose – the tuner has a solid top). They have been tested/serviced and are working. The amplifier is rated at 40 watts per channel @ 8 Ω with ≤ 0.05% THD. It features Vu Output meters showing the power each channel is supplying. It has Phono/Tuner/Tape and AUX inputs and hook-ups for two pairs of speakers. The Tuner features twin meters for showing Signal Strength as well as a Centering Meter to guide precise FM tuning. Both units are multi-voltage and can be adjusted for use with various electrical systems in most counties. They are both set for use in the USA with standard non-polarized cords/plugs as originally supplied. Both units have the smaller footprint desired by those with limited space. Each unit is approx. 16.5” W x 5.75” H x 11” D. (Stacked they are approx. 11.5” before allowing room for ventilation!). A copy of the Operation Instructions for both units will be included. The following outline describes the testing/service work done: · All speaker connections have been tested and are working, both right and left channels. · Tuner, Aux and Tape inputs and outputs were tested and function as expected. · Phono input was tested and functions as expected. · The headphone jack was tested and is working. · The tuner receives signals in both AM and FM (with basic di-pole antenna). · The Tuner Meter lamps have been replaced with Cool Blue LED’s. · The Tuner Power, FM Stereo and Dial pointer lamps are original and working at time of testing. · The Amplifier VU Power Meter lamps were replaced with Cool Blue LED’s. · The Amplifier Power lamp is original and was working at time of testing. · All Switches and Potentiometers were flushed with contact cleaner, followed by treatment with the appropriate DeoxIt treatment. · Cleaning on all exterior surfaces was done to improve appearance. · The power cords were inspected and cleaned. · Any missing top cabinet or bottom plate screws were replaced. · All feet were inspected and replaced as needed. · Watts/channel was checked using a Peak and RMS Output Meter to meet/exceed model specs. · A final extended use test was performed to ensure functionality. This listing describes the item to the best of our ability. Overall – both units are in excellent condition, but like all units of this era they have some marks and other signs of wear. Many high-resolution pictures are included, and should be considered part of the description to help you decide if the units meet your requirements.
