There is very little change in water chemistry, and guppies, corys and neocaridina shrimp have been living in a tank with these rocks for over a year; all are thriving. In addition to providing surface area for biofilm to develop, you can also build caves and other hiding spaces with these rocks. Before adding to any tank, simply rinse the rock off under running water to get any dirt, dust and debris cleaned off. The majority of these rocks are large, over 3" in width; however, smaller rocks are available in 6-oz bags. Pictures are representative only.
