Description: This listing is for a rare early 19th century print of Venus pulling a thorn from her foot. It was designed by Pierre Bouillon after an original original fresco by Raphael on the west wall of the bathroom in the apartments of Cardinal Bibbiena in the Vatican Palace, and etched and engraved by Pierre Audouin of Paris. The print measures approx. 16" x 22", and bears a dedication to the Count of Metternich-Winneburg of Austria on both sides of coat of arms at the bottom.
