Farmhouse was recorded and mixed in fall 1999 and winter 2000 at The Barn in Vermont by John Siket, was produced by Bryce Goggin and Trey Anastasio, and released by Elektra on May 16, 2000. The single, “Heavy Things” charted after being previewed live at Big Cypress on ABC’s New Year's Eve 2000 coverage, "First Tube" was nominated for a Best Rock Instrumental Performance GRAMMY, and the album went on to be certified Gold. The lacquers for the new Farmhouse 2-LP vinyl release were cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Alongside the release of Farmhouse on vinyl at Phish Dry Goods, a Japanese Bonus 7" containing bonus tracks not included on the original North American release, is also available. Working with the Japanese label East West Japan, a Japanese edition of the album was created with two bonus tracks from the Farmhouse recording sessions: “Driver” and “Mist” aka “Mountains In The Mist”. They are included on the bonus 7”
