Unlike the American edition, the first printing states neither a month nor year of printing (these appear in subsequent UK printings, which state both [e.g., second edition, November, 1911]). Note that this is the rarer variant binding with the decoration on the front panel in white, not gilt. As noted by Cutler (1931) in his bibliography of Barrie’s works, it is unknown if either variant preceded the other, or if they were produced at the same time. - Description & Condition: See pictures. White and blind stamped design on olive cloth. Gilt titles on spine. Binding solid, although the front hinge is just starting to crack at the paper seam. Frontispiece and 11 plates are all present. Age tanned pages, with some smudging and foxing, even on the edges of the text block.
