"There are people swimming in the sea and also there are people sitting in the sun and there are spinners and people selling ice cream." Each time I look at this aprillera, I notice another detail put in by this skilled artisan. I can't imagine the amount of time it took to stitch! Each beach goer's face is just a touch different as are the swimming apparel! It's such a nice example of this woman's skill and of the art of aprilleras itself. The piece does have a slight mustiness which I have considered when pricing. I don't have a lot of experience with cleaning this sort of item so I was hesitant to try to clean it. I set it out in the sun which helped considerably but I want to be clear that it is present. I have a sensitive nose and can only smell it up very close so most people probably won't be bothered by it.
