Description: Up for sale is a vintage French opalescent milk glass rolling pin with aluminum screw-on handles! It's blown glass, and it's hollow - one of the screw ends is open so it can be filled with either ice or cold water to prevent dough from sticking to it. It measures 16 1/2 inches long when the handles are screwed into place. Aside from a couple of small age-appropriate chips around the open end (that are covered by the handle), this rolling pin is perfect! The glass is nice and shiny with no stains, dullness or scratches, and the handles are in great condition - they have a couple of small dents at the ends, but otherwise they turn freely and are clean. The opalescent glass glows fiery orange when it's held up to the light, and it's absolutely guaranteed to be vintage - not reproduction or new glass. This rolling pin is photographed in Gene Florence's "Kitchen Glassware of the Depression Years", but the maker is not identified. It's shown there for $125.00. The buyer will pay shipping (and insurance if desired). Shipping will be combined for the buyer of more than one item whenever practical. Shipping is normally within 24 hours after receipt of PayPal payment (if other payment options are desired, please don’t hesitate to inquire). Please feel free to e-mail any other questions or requests for additional photos, and thanks very much for looking!!
