They contain a well-tested blend of organic soy wax and coconut oil that will burn for a significant amount of time. What makes my product unique is the ratio of scent oils that I use and the quality of those oils. Many of the scents I make are blends that I have tested and peer-reviewed through multiple iterations over time. Every candle is lightly dusted with a freshly ground pinch of blended Himalayan pink salt and red Alaea salt (Hawaiian Sea salt naturally infused with volcanic clay. This natural infusion increases mineral and electrolyte content). Salt changes the chemical makeup of many scent oils, making citrus scents and herbal scents more pungent, sweeter and increasing the uptake of the scent diffusion into the air. During the curing process, as the oils, the wax and the salt mix, the binding of the components strengthens and sweetens the final product. You will smell the difference when you open the jar. Both the cold and hot throws of my candles are particularly full-bodied and the scent profiles are unmistakable. When possible, I use only all-natural essential oils extracted either from steam-distillation or cold-press methods from natural plant sources. This means that if you purchase a Eucalyptus candle, a Peppermint scent, a Lavender scent, any scent that has a natural herbal effect on the brain and body which is beneficial, you can rest assured that this effect will be present during the burn. Eucalyptus and Peppermint in particular have the effect of clearing out the sinuses and opening up the nasal and pharyngeal passages while Lavender has "anxiolytic, sedative, analgesic, anti-convulsive and neuroprotective" effects (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3612440/).If a scent is desired that does not have an all-natural essential oil component, I use only the highest quality fragrance oils in natural carrier oil. An example of this would be Apricot which is difficult to extract through steam distillation or cold-press methods. Another example would be floral oils such as Rose or Jasmine which can be extracted through a prohibitively expensive process. In the candle industry, it is difficult to find brands that use all natural products (many waxes are cut with petroleum byproducts), include strong measures of oil (oils make up the highest amount of expense and so scents are typically lightened to preserve profits) and are made with the kind of care that shows through to the final product. My candles have been extensively tested for burn time, melt consistency and are made with a delicate balance of precision and love as well as carefully studied ingredients.
