Description: Hello again. This DVD is another follow-up to enlighten those who may own one of these great steels. We did the Methodology booklet in 1983, then did 2 Supplement DVD's in 2008 that show the steel totally stripped down to the body. Have seen and heard over the years, some misunderstandings about them, so we have done our level best to correct various misconceptions by doing this DVD about PP's. We point out how simple they really are by example and explanation. We start with the top and then go to the bottom. You'll get to see more of the undercarriage than you want to when you watch it all. Part of that is because I thought I had deleted a mess of stuff so I kinda duplicated what I had done the first time by using a second steel to duplicate the first attempt. Naturally, there will be doubling up on things said but the repetition is not all bad. We decided to save mucho time by not editing the repetitive tips or anything at this time. The steels are different enough underside to be a good thing. This project has been in the works for a Long time but because I thought I had deleted many things due to a malfunctioning camera I put things on the back burner. Methinks that with these tips and things to look for when servicing a PP you will gain all the knowledge you will ever need to make the axe a dream to play on. Our intent has only ever been to help one understand what you love to play, but understanding how it works has nothing to do with being able to play. We've added 2 more pics on fret board placement. We've always said to check from the center of nut rollers to center of changer fingers and then half is the fret bd center. And we do that because we have run into a few that the scales were off by 1/8" so that creates a play in tune challenge. All Emmons steels are made so there is a 1/8" from the center of the roller axle to the edge of the peg head as shown. Then lay a 12" rule against the peg head and the end of the rule will be the 12-1/8" center of the 24-1/4" scale, see pictures. Any questions? We've decided to lower the price a hair more cuz you can't learn if we have the only copies of the DVD. You need to see it, too. All you have to put up with is my rambling on. Good luck with that. "One thing stands out and that is the thought of how durable and unchanged the PP steel remains based on its conception and design features by Buddy Emmons. A living tribute to the acknowledged Master. The benchmark sound for steel guitar...” (my thoughts when I posted this listing). Naturally, if you have any questions about your steel (s) just ask me and we shall do our best to give you the best answer to help you out. DVD in stock and ready to send out, pronto. What you get is this one DVD (about 1hr 38 mins) Have not had a stamp made up to stamp the DVD. Keeping prices low and reasonable is good. This DVD is the same as listed in the package deal 283 219 446 540, the point is not to double order this package and then order this DVD by itself, unless you want 2 of this new DVD. *** Recent Feedback of Many *** Hi Clem... DVD's arrived today (Mon.). Great product. Very informative. The video of Buddy at the Jeffran College is a gem. Thanks for the buy.... Regards from 'Down Under' here in Oz. Best: Don C.
