Studies have shown that separately both Patchouli & Calendula oil possess properties that can complement accelerating the healing process. Oh calendula, made of the rays of the great father sun, this plant is EVERYTHING! It is LIFE! It is protective, healing, gentle and beautiful, I basically tell everyone it’s good for everything! And it is… Calendula salve is the first version of calendula medicine I made, I pack my casserole dish full of the Whole plant, and add olive oil, and heat, why on Earth this information is being hidden I will never know, but let me be the first to scream it from the roof tops USE THE WHOLE PLANT! Not just the flowers! All you have to do is smell those leaves, they ooze a sticky healing astringent aroma that lifts my spirits every time I smell it, those leaves are incredibly medicinal. This is why my calendula offerings are always sought after by everyone I know and why they do seem to help any ailment. I’ve been making them for over 17 years (I’ve been on an eBay hiatus for a decade with my salves) and have first hand seen the oil and salves shrink tumors (yes it is antigenotoxic) used as a triple antibiotic, I used it for my children from cradle cap to diaper rash, rug burn, mystery bumps and as a moisturizer and hair tamer, for sunburn and kitchen burns it never stops amazing me. It is 100% edible even by babies! I originally made my first batch of calendula salve for a friends son who had severe eczema, after the the miraculous skin healing I witnessed, I knew I had to share this sunshiny plant with everyone I met! I learned that the hard way, however in its second stage of drying out, once all the urushiol oil (the toxic stuff) is washed away with rubbing alcohol and steaming hot water, the calendula will help sooth and heal it. It’s anti-fungal, antiseptic, highly anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, astringent, antigenotoxic and antibacterial! All I can say is I am in love with this plant, and everyone I give this oil/salve to also falls in love. If it doesn’t heal it, it will at least help it a lot! Combined with the powerhouse that is Patchouli essential oil this salve is uplifting Magic for your mind, body and spirit. Over the years I’ve developed a salve made with lavender, orange, tea tree and mango butter and a dash of neem and now shea butter, and it is an unstoppable powerhouse of healing. I recommend that for any chronic non-open wound issues, and the original calendula and neem oil for wounds, pets, babies, new mommas ( I used on chaffed nipples, c-section scars, excellent for hemorrhoids and vaginal discomfort from birth and episiotomy. DOSAGE & BENEFITS Rub a small amount ( a little goes a loooong way) into affected area REALLY well. For open wounds apply a few drops and cover with bandage. For sensitive areas apply lightly and cover. Oil rubs off as you go about your day, so reapply as often as needed, there is no “too much” with Calendula so go wild! Only use my Plain Calendula & Neem oil for open wounds, babies, new momma, and pets. The essential oils in my other variations may irritate extreme cases or babies and pets. Calendula is naturally highly astringent so it may sting mildly on open wounds for a moment, but it fades quickly and its pain relieving affects kick in within minutes! Even though it will not harm your eyes, getting it in your eyes can be unpleasant.
