But this MX80L stage can also be used without the Renishaw interpolaters to achieve a resolution of 5um (5microns = 0.005mm).The advantage of not using the Renishawinterpolater is that it will increase the maximumspeed of the MX80L actuator. If you use the Renishawinterpolater the max speed for the 0.01um resolution will be limited to about 25mm/sec, but if you bypassthe Renishaw interpolater you can achieve speedsup to 5meters/sec with the 5um encoder resolution.
