Description: This is possibly the best condition Mercury Living Presence "Paray Conducts Wagner" LP you could find. THIS IS THE EMI RECORDS, Ltd release/pressing of the Mercury team's recording. If anything, the EMI pressing is as good or better than the Mercury pressing; accordingly, the EMI labeling is AMS 16049, the equivalent of the Mercury SR 90107. The LP playing surfaces have been professionally cleaned/treated using a VPI 16.5 record cleaning machine AND an ultrasonic record cleaner (DeGritter) and de-magnetized using a Furutech DeMag device. This LP plays back very cleanly. You get excerpts of Richard Wagner's Dawn and Siegfried's Rhine Journey, Siegfried Idyll, Prelude to Parsifal, Prelude to Act III of Tristan and Isolde. Also included is a brief on the music and the recording. This recording of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra plays better than the review indicates, for sure. From my private library.
