The wall bracket suspends the center of the bell 7” away from the mounting surface. Therefore, to allow for some potential swaying of the bell, this bracket is recommended for bronze bells 8” or less in diameter (giving 3 inches of clearance between the bell and the mounting surface). Recommended for ceramic bells 4” or less in diameter (giving 5 inches of clearance between the bell and the mounting surface).
