Description: Panasonic Panapet Ball Radio R-70 1970 Repaired Serviced Works Good Vintage VTG The radio works like new and is in used condition. If you’d like to read my description of the work I’ve done that has restored this radio to full performance, please read on: This radio came to me 1-12-2025 with weak volume. Two of its three capacitors were open. I replaced all of its caps which restored the radio to full performance. I thoroughly cleaned the radio inside and out. This was fun radio to repair. Sort of a puzzle. When I carefully reassembled the radio, I made sure that the dial covers were re-bonded with an adhesive that can be reactivated, just in case someone fifty years from now might need to replace its capacitors again. I cleaned its volume control and checked its alignment. It’s loud. Volume control goes smoothly from totally silent to blazing overload loud. It produces a clean and clear sound. It’s sensitive. This is a single stage radio which isn’t as sensitive as the more common dual stage. That being said, it works quite well and I was able to tune the local weak stations in my area I use to confirm a radio is working correctly. It is. It has no chips. No Cracks. It is used and does have some scratches which are hard to see. Please see my photos. I service almost all the vintage radios I sell on eBay.
