Pan American Stereoview Temple Lot, Independence, MO 1906 of Rare Mormon Set #6

Description: This is an excellent Stereo card of the Temple lot in Independence, Missouri where Joseph Smith was instructed to build the Great Temple of Zion. It was made by the Pan American Publishing Co. of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. It is from a very rare “Mormon” set featuring sites of great historical significance to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). Some views in this set have a J. B. King copyright dated 1906. This set by a Salt Lake City publishing company is even rarer than the similar rare sets issued by Keystone or Underwood & Underwood. This card is titled “Temple Lot, Site of Great Temple of Zion, to be Built by the Mormons.” with a position number of 6. This card is in excellent condition and measures 3 1/2" by 7”.
