This listing is for one (1) PALACE AMUSEMENTS t-shirt iron-on transfer, manufactured in the late 1970s-early 1980s for the former amusement park that was located in Asbury Park, New Jersey. This is a paper sheet with a reversed image on it, that features the merry-go-round ride, a carousel horse, and family members on the ride, as well as the company name, with 'Asbury Park N.J.' along the bottom. Below the main image, there is an offer which states that anyone who wore a shirt with the iron-on would receive 2 rides on the carousel for the price of one. At the bottom of the sheet, there are directions for using the iron-on. The image was drawn by Larry Mahlstedt, famous for his work in comic books on 'The Legion of Super-Heroes', 'The Flash', 'Adventure Comics', 'New Warriors', and many other titles. As it was intended to be ironed onto a shirt, the original image that is printed on the sheet is REVERSED. What you see if looking at the paper image is shown in the main photo here. The second photo shows what you see when you are looking at the back of the paper image, and in the third photo, we have flipped the image, to show what it would look like, if it had been transferred onto a shirt. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING THIS IN ORDER TO USE THIS AS AN IRON-ON. DUE TO THE AGE OF THE ITEM, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL TRANSFER CORRECTLY, AND THERE IS SOME LIGHT 'BLEED' OF THE COLOR, ESPECIALLY IN THE RED AREAS. THIS ITEM IS BEING SOLD AS A SOUVENIR OR A COLLECTIBLE. The entire item measures approximately 8.5" wide by 14" tall. The image of the iron-on area measures approximately 8.5" wide by 8.5" tall. The sheet is new old stock, never used, and shows no creases, or rips. There is some light general handling and storage wear, and light yellowing along the edges of the sheet.
