Description: Antique Italian Etruscan Bronze Satyr Fogures, Pan, Devil, Architectural Salvage. Incredible pair of heavy antique bronze architectural salvage Italian Etruscan Satyr figures that were originally part of a stand. Circa 1906-10, figures were modeled after an ancient Brasero Bronze Tripod stand that was found in the ruins of Pompeii. Reproduced circa 1906 by Sculptor Sabatino de Angelis. 28” tall pan devil faun like figures with hoofed feet. Outstretched hands with perfectly formed fingers. Likely the original was a grand tour purchase, sadly we just have the two outstanding legs. They are very heavy, some chipping but solid. Original patina. Some paint blotches on one. One arm is cracked but stable, one arm on other red faced figure has small holes that were made in casting……all arms are solid and stable. Price is for the pair .They would make fantastic hooks or wall mounts. Please email any questions prior to bidding. Photos are part of the description so please review carefully
